PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain guide improved so that pressurizing for distribution against a chain does not become non-uniform in the axial direction of a chain pin. SOLUTION: Constitution of the chain guide 11 to stabilize travelling of the chain 5 to interlock an intake camshaft 1 and an exhaust camshaft 3 constitutes its characteristic feature of having a first part to be fixed on the cylinder head side (fixed part 14/24), a second part to make contact with the chain (guide part 15/25) and a means to move a chain contact surface of the second part in parallel (for example, a connecting part 16 furnished with a parallel link function, a folded part 29 a cross-section shape of which makes a U shape, etc.). Consequently, the contact surface with the chain is never inclined against an axis of the chain pin.
