PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove the paste residue bonded to the undersurface of a screen plate or the paste residue in pattern apertures of the screen plate. SOLUTION: The screen plate cleaner is equipped with a first cleaning head A, which has a first residue removing means 32 moving in a state brought into contact with the undersurface of the screen plate 1 to slidably remove the residue of the paste bonded to the undersurface of the screen plate 1, and a second residue removing means A3, which is integrally moved along with the first cleaning heat A and sucks and removes the residue of the paste in the pattern apertures of the screen plate 1 from the under side of the screen plate 1, and a second cleaning head B, which is equipped with a pair of front and rear cleaning rollers 5A and 5B moving in the state brought into contact with the undersurface of the screen plate 1 through a cleaning sheet 2 and cleans the contaminant on the undersurface of the screen plate 1 at the part of the cleaning sheet 2 coated with a solvent and at the part of the cleaning sheet 2 not coated with the solvent by the front and rear rollers 5A and 5B accompanied by the movement of both rollers.
