HYGROSCOPIC COMPOSITION, HYGROSCOPIC AGENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hygroscopic composition composed of a combination of a deliquescent substance having an excellent hygroscopic ability and a liquid absorbing resin absorbing and holding the deliquescent liquid of the deliquescent substance at a high level and capable of absorbing and holding the deliquescent liquid at a high level without liquefying during moisture absorption and a hygroscopic agent in a preferred form of use and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This hygroscopic composition comprises the liquid absorbing resin which is a cross-linked polymer prepared by polymerizing a monomer consisting essentially of a cyclic N-vinyllactam and having >=20 g/g liquid absorption ratio of a saturated aqueous solution of calcium chloride at 25 deg.C and the solid deliquescent substance. One of the hygroscopic agent is a hygroscopic agent comprising the liquid absorbing resin and the solid deliquescent substance. The liquid absorbing resin is the cross-linked polymer obtained by polymerizing the monomer component consisting essentially of the cyclic N-vinyllactam, has >=20 g/g liquid absorption ratio of the saturated aqueous solution of calcium chloride at 25 deg.C and is mixed with the solid deliquescent substance and packaged with a packaging material. The packaging material is characterized in that at least a part thereof is a moisture-permeable film.
