PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized, inexpensive process cartridge requiring no reinforcement space outside an electrifying roller. SOLUTION: As for the process cartridge, the shaft part 105b of an electrifying roller 105 provided with a roller part 105a and the shaft part 105b is supported freely rotatably by bearings 106 and 107. Control parts 106a and 107a for controlling the shift of the electrifying roller 105 in the axial direction are arranged in the bearings 106 and 107, so as to face the level difference surfaces 105c and 105d of the end faces of the roller part 105a. The control parts 106a and 107a can be arranged in the inside along the whole length of the electrifying roller 105, and hence the reinforcement space is outside the electrifying roller in the axial direction is dispensed with.
