PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a watch having a sliding shutter type cover. SOLUTION: This substantially rectangular watch includes two sliding shutter type covers 6, 7 slid on a case 1 so that the case is seen or concealed by applying manual operation to a shutter. The shutter is fixed to the case by a holding means 9 provided separately from a guide means 8, and the means is mounted under each shutter to apply the vertical force F for separating the shutter means 6, 7 from the holding means 9 in order to reduce the shutter frictional surface.
