PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary valve capable of preventing inconvenience due to sticking of polymer powder to a rotor and smoothly transferring the stuck polymer powder in a fixed quantity without being discharged to the outside of a system and the occurrence of clogging, when polymer powder having sticking characteristics is transferred, for instance, and a transferring method for a transfer object using the rotary valve. SOLUTION: This rotary valve has a means for simultaneously injecting gas toward the rotor from the front face direction and the side face direction on the discharge side of the rotor of the rotary valve without a side plate.
