A connector for tubulars (160, 162), particularly for connecting expandable tubulars formed of bistable cells, includes a number of extending insertion portions (168) which engage with corresponding extending receiving portions (170). The receiving portions (170) have a narrow outer opening (174) with a wider inner portion (176) which engages with an enlarged head (178) on the insertion portion (168). Various different configurations of the connector are shown (figs 16A-27D), including the use of a slide cover (181). The connector system may be used in a sand barrier apparatus (200, fig 23A) or crossover (220, fig 25). |
