PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of suppressing the vibration of a steering wheel even when a torque signal after a phase compensation is included in a dead zone. SOLUTION: A second target current value set part 14 is provided with a torque-second target current characteristic map determining torque-second target current characteristics in a predetermined torque signal range (including torque dead zone). A second target current value according to a torque signal passed through a high pass filter 13 is set according to the torque-second target current characteristic map. Namely, in the second target current value set part 14, the torque signal with a frequency higher than a predetermined frequency is outputted from a phase compensating part 11 and, when the torque signal is included in the predetermined torque signal range, a second target current value is set in proportion generally to the magnitude of the torque signal. |
