<p>PURPOSE:To detect up to half pel accuracy with simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:A 1st reference data block of 6X6 picture elements fed to an input terminal 1 and a retrieval range of 11X11 picture elements fed to an input terminal 4 are fed to a movement detection circuit 3 with an accuracy of 1 pel to detect a moving vector with an accuracy of 1 pel. The 6X6 picture elements in response to the movement vector with 1 pel accuracy detected by the movement detection circuit 3 are used for a retrieval range (contents of RAMs 17a, 17b) and fed to a movement detection circuit 21 with a half pel accuracy, which detects a movement vector with half pel accuracy as a 2nd reference data block of center 4X4 picture elements in each picture element from a delay circuit 22. The moving vectors with 1 pel accuracy and a half pel accuracy are extracted at output terminals 11, 27.</p> |
