An adhesive tape (I) coated on one side with a self-adhesive composition comprises a support material of a cross-linked thermally vulcanizable polyurethane coated polyester film. An Independent claim is included for a process for the production of the tape (I) by application of the mixed reactants of the thermally vulcanizable polyurethane directly onto the polyester film during its chemical reaction phase.
