PURPOSE: A coin hopper with a coin anti-jamming components is provided to produce a coin selector unit for removing coins from the coin storage unit. CONSTITUTION: A motor drives a speed reduction gear assembly(15), which is fixed to the lower surface of a basal plate(12). In turn, a rotating selector disk(14) is connected to a shaft(16) of the speed reducer assembly(15). An upper part(13u) of the coin bowl(13) comprises a first sidewall(13a), a second sidewall(13b), a third sidewall(13c) and a fourth sidewall. The first sidewall(13a) is located away from an edge of the rotating selector disk(14) by about half of a coin diameter and extends vertically upward. The second sidewall(13b) is located away from the edge of the rotating disk by about 1£1/2| times a coin diameter and again, is vertical and positioned opposite the first sidewall(13a). The third sidewall(13c) is located near the edge of the rotating selector disk(14) and is vertical, while the fourth sidewall is located away from the edge of the rotating selector disk(14) by about one coin length in diameter and is opposite to the third sidewall(13c).
