<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple theft prevention device for a vehicle capable of increasing the theft prevention property of the vehicle. SOLUTION: Since this theft prevention device for the vehicle is provided with an intention detection means detecting driver's intention, a lock means 8 regulating the travel of a shift lever 3 from a parking position, and a control means locking and unlocking the lock means 8 based on signals from the intention detection means, the shift lever 3 cannot move from the parking position if a signal from the intention detection means is not generated to inhibit the travel of the vehicle when it is stolen so as to increase the theft prevention property.</p> |
