PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-quality color image which is free of color slurring, due to accurate resist correction by detecting a resist pattern on a belt by preventing misdetections caused by the flaw or the soiling of the belt. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with a resist controller consisting of photosensors 60 and 61 and a control unit 70, and the unit is equipped with a CPU 801, a light-receiving circuit 807, a pattern start timing detection part 804 and a pattern width and space storage part 805 or the like. The resist pattern is formed on an intermediate transfer belt by adding a pattern start timing detection pattern to its prestage, and the start timing detection pattern is detected by the photosensor. When the detection part 804 detects that the width of the pattern is equal to or above a specified width T after signal processing, it is detected as an output by the start timing detection pattern, a resist pattern detection start signal is outputted, then the width and the space of the resist pattern are detected by a detection part 808, and data are stored in a register. |
