PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple branching method by which a desired optical fiber in a multi-fiber optical fiber cable can easily be cut. SOLUTION: A plastic-made optical fiber 2 which is flexible and has large permissible elongation strain is used as an optical fiber and can be led out of a slot 4 of a spacer 3 without being broken, cut, and branched. While the plastic-made optical fiber 2 is put in the slot 4, a small-sized cutting blade is inserted into the slot 4 to easily cut the plastic-made optical fiber 2, so that the optical fiber cable 1 can be branched. |
