PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gelatin subbing layer on a thermally annealed film support having an auxiliary layer on an antistatic layer so as to improve the adhesion property of a photographic emulsion to the polyester support. SOLUTION: The photographic support has a polyester base having first and second faces, an antistatic layer laminated on the first face of the base, a gelatin layer laminated on the second face of the base, and an auxiliary layer containing 20 to 80 wt.% hydroxypropylmethylcellulose and a second binder on the antistatic layer. The photographic element has the above support.
