PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an icemaking container capable of simply and rapidly forming a transparent ice, without the need for managing severe temperature and managing a speed regarding icemaking of the transparent ice and an icemaker. SOLUTION: The icemaking container comprises a tray-like unit, having a single or a plurality of recesses constituted at a bottom of a proper thermal conductive material, and a cover made of a hat insulating material or a heat- insulating structure, in which the pores are opened corresponding to the respective recesses of the tray-like unit. The icemaker comprises the icemaking container arranged in a deep freezing space. Thus, a water amount which is sufficient for covering at least the overall surfaces of bottoms of the respective recesses or an ice layer formed of the tray-like unit is poured intermittently from the pores opened at the cover, and is made to ice.
