PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finishing method of a rolling body raceway surface of a linearly moving device for reducing noise, when operating the linearly moving device, and moreover without cost increase. SOLUTION: After incorporating a rolling body 4, having surface hardness of not less than Vickers hardness of Hv 1,000 by applying a prescribed pre-load force between a nut 3 and a screw shaft 2, the rolling body 4 is rolled by relatively moving the nut 3 and the screw shaft 2, so as to improve surface roughness of both screw grooves 2a and 3a of the nut 3 and the screw shaft 2.
