PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a health promoting tatami remarkably improved in minus ions and far infrared effects. SOLUTION: This structure comprises a heating panel 3 heated by current- carrying and a health promoting functional sheet 11 provided over the whole surface between a tatami mat 1 and a tatami facing 2. The health promoting functional sheet 11 comprises a sheet base material 12 having a size substantially equal to the tatami mat 1 and formed of a high-quality paper such as kraft paper, a synthetic paper, a mirror coat paper, a nonwoven fabric, and a mixed layer 13 of an adhesive and tourmaline laid over the whole opposed surface to the tatami facing 2 in the sheet base material 12. The minus ions and far infrared effects are remarkably improved by the function of the tourmaline of the mixed layer 13 by heating the heating panel 3.
