PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a polyimide advantageous for modifying the polyimide and permitting shortening of the manufacturing process. SOLUTION: At least one acid dianhydride and at least one diamine are subjected to heating once in the presence of an acid catalyst and pyridine in an organic polar solvent to directly give a polyimide.
