PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid filling device and a method for filling liquid wherein even if the shape of a container varies, a liquid level can be adjusted so that a turbulent flow and bubbling can be suppressed and boil-over can be avoided. SOLUTION: The liquid filling device includes a liquid storage tank 11 having a head space, a liquid feed pipe 14, which allows the fluid in the tank 11 to flow down, a flowmeter 15 to measure the flow rate of liquid flowing through the pipe 14, and a liquid filling valve 10 to fill the liquid supplied from the pipe 14 into a container 20, wherein a flow-rate adjusting means, which is interposed between the head space of the tank 11 and a counter-gas passage 18a provided in the valve 10 to adjust the flow rate of gas flowing through the passage 18a, and a control means 30 to control the flow-rate adjusting means based on the output of the flowmeter 15 are provided. |
