PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron manufacturing acidproof-abrasion resistant rubber roller having little shape changes such as abrasion, even in hydrochloric acid environment, and capable of obtaining long service life, even if the roller constitution and the mechanical constitution are not devised by having a flexible surface layer of superior liquid draining performance. SOLUTION: This iron manufacturing acidproof-abrasion resistant rubber roller has a core metal 1, and the surface layer 2 arranged on the peripheral surface of this core metal 1, and has the surface layer 2 is composed of an ethylene-propylene copolymer having a 100% modulus of not less than 9 MPa, and hardness of not more than 90 deg. as measured by a JIS A hardness meter.
