PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for correcting and setting the carrying error detecting conditions of an image forming device capable of easily and accurately correcting an error amount, and the image forming device. SOLUTION: On a carried sheet, reference sensors 52A and 52B are installed at specified intervals along the lateral direction of a carrying route 12. In this state, the image forming device carries the sheet to form the same reference images 54A and 54B at the same timing. Since these reference images 54A and 54B are formed at the same position in a carrying direction even if the sheet A moves aslant, the amount of displacement due to a slanting movement can be accurately detected by detecting, with the reference sensors 52A and 52B, the times T2A and T2B required to pass through the distances between the top ends of the sheets and the rear end of the reference images 54A and 54B and determining a time difference ΔT2 thereof. Thus, based on the time difference ΔT2, the slanting detection conditions can be corrected accurately. |
