PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device for controlling the glossiness of a printed image on transfer material in accordance with desired glossiness with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The change of the surface temperature of a heating roller is detected with a temperature sensor while sheets of paper on which a test image pattern is formed are being outputted at the processing speed. The glossiness of the test image pattern formed on the paper is also detected with a glossiness detection means, and the relation between the surface temperature of the heating roller attained when the test image pattern on the paper passes through a fixing nip part and the glossiness of the test image pattern on the paper is detected. The temperature of the heating roller attained when the desired glossiness is obtained in the plurality of test image patterns is stored so as to obtain the previously selected glossiness. Thereafter, the temperature of the heating roller is set on the basis of a stored temperature value in the case of image forming operation to output the same paper as the paper where the test image pattern is outputted. |
