PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biochemical measuring device capable of dispensing with a reference plate, simplifying an operation, simplifying retention of a test piece, thinning a retention mechanism, and being assembled simply and inexpensively. SOLUTION: In this device, a window part 13 for loading a test paper 61 of a test piece 60 on the upper face of a translucent block 10 in contact therewith is formed, and an LED 20 for floodlighting from the side of the block 10 toward the inside thereof is arranged so that an optical axis becomes parallel to the test paper surface of the test piece 60, and a reflecting face 11 is formed on the block 10 so that light from the LED 20 enters the test paper 61, and a light receiving sensor 30 for detecting reflected light from the test paper 61 is arranged below the test piece 60 on the lower face side of the block 10. In addition, a light guide part 12 for branching a part of light from the LED 20 as reference light, and allowing light to enter a correction sensor 35 is formed in the block 10.
