PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in a conventional engine that a bolted or other connection of a gear case cover only to a gear case may cause less rigidity, large noise, and leakage of lubricating oil. SOLUTION: A structure for connecting an oil pan 21 to a cylinder block 15 via a spacer 18 connects each of the cylinder block 15, the gear case 23 connected to one side of the cylinder block 15 and the gear case cover 29 connected to the outer side of the gear case 23, to the spacer 18.
