PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proper paper setting performance and paper feeding performance by changing abutting angles of a paper tip in paper setting and paper feeding while securing quietness during feeding. SOLUTION: In the paper feeding device 50, paper P is set in a slanted state. A separating member 6 is provided on a guide member 5 guiding a back face of the paper P and a space part 7 is formed between the paper P and the guide member 5. During feeding, a paper feeding roller unit 1 rotates around a driving shaft 2, presses a paper feeding roller 3 against the paper P, and flexibly bends the paper P so it protrudes downward. By this, the angles of the paper P tip abutting to an abutting face 4a are changed in setting and feeding of the paper P.
