METHOD FOR REPAIRING METAL-CERAMICS COMPOSITE MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for repairing a metal-ceramics composite material by which, even if the material has a defected part, the defected part can be repaired without any problem. SOLUTION: The defected part of a metal-ceramic composite material is surrounded by grafoil. Slurry consisting of an aqueous or nonaqueous solvent containing ceramics powder or ceramics fiber and a binder is flowed into the defected part surrounded thereby. Vibration is applied thereto to fill the ceramics powder or ceramics fiber into the defected part, and the part is dried. Thereafter, molten aluminum or its alloy is infiltrated into the dried part.
