<p>The stopper (6) pin (9) is pressed into the opening of a radially slotted (11) clamping disc (7) placed between the end of the stopper top (8) and the screw head (4). The diameter of the disc shaped stopper top is slightly radially clear of the expanded end part (5) of the rail hole (2). A cavity in the screw head facing the endface has an inner polygonal profile for the stopper pin entry. The stopper pin has to be inserted in the clamp disc opening to shut off the rail hole, assisted by the bevelled (13) pin end. The effect of this is to expand the clamp radially onto the periphery of the hole end part and so close the hole off flush with the rail surface as the pin homes into the polygon area (14).</p> |
