PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blue ink which is excellent in color characteristics and of which, when the chromaticity is made equal, the dye concentration becomes lower in comparison with an ink conventionally used for producing a color filter. SOLUTION: This ink contains a cyan dye and a violet dye represented by formula (1) (R1, R1', R2 and R2' are each H, a 1-5C linear or branched alkyl group or an optionally substituted aryl group; and R3 is a substituted phenyl group).
