PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an energy saving system for an image forming device, which meets the standard value of an Energy Star. SOLUTION: A dehumidifying heater 1 is set in the vicinity of a part (a scanner part, an image forming part, a bank or the like) where dew condensation should be especially prevented in an image forming device. This dehumidifying heater 1 is connected to an AC line through a normally closed relay, and the relay has been closed and the heater has been turned on when a receptacle is connected to an AC power source. When a main switch 3 of a main body is turned on, a relay open signal is sent to the relay from a CPU of a main control part 2. Then the relay 4 is opened. A dew condensation preventing heater is turned on a certain time after entrance into an energy saving mode. Since the dehumidifying heater is not turned on when the temperature in a machine is high just after entrance into the energy saving mode, unnecessary power consumption is prevented without increasing the cost. |
