PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine speed control system for a hybrid vehicle capable of preventing deterioration of drivability without effect of a battery condition and preventing restriction of battery use even if gasoline of low octane number. SOLUTION: This system compensates torque reduction from knocking control by controlling a generator 11 with an inverter to increase speed or driving force of an electric motor 12 according to a torque reduction amount TQlo. Torque reduction thereby can be compensated without changing output force of an engine 10 or a load on a battery 42. Engine output therefore can be provided as desired without effect of a condition of the battery 42 such as remaining capacity and temperature of the battery 42. |
