ADHESIVE COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING WINDOW GLASS FOR VEHICLE BY BONDING GLASS WITH OLEFIN RESIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive composition suitable for the adhesion of a glass with an olefin resin, and a method for producing a window glass for a vehicle by bonding a glass plate coated with a colored ceramic, with an olefin resin by means of an infrared light irradiation. SOLUTION: This adhesive composition is characterized by containing (A) 20 pt.wt. olefin resin (based on its solid portion) being a powdery material having <=100μm mean particle diameter, (B) 6-60 pt.wt. acrylic resin (based on its solid portion), (C) 0.1-2.0 pt.wt. phenol resin (based on its solid portion) and (D) 0.1-2.0 pt.wt. silane coupling agent (based on its solid portion). The method for producing the window glass for the vehicle is provided by applying an adhesive composition obtained by heating and melting the olefin resin particles at the peripheral parts of the glass plate, irradiating the applied glass plate with the infrared light for heating the adhesive and injecting the olefin resin on it for bonding the glass with the olefin resin in bonding the olefin resin with the peripheral parts of the glass plate at least a part of which surface is coated with the colored ceramic.
