PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load transfer mechanism of a reinforcement bar in the periphery of an opening part of a RCCV shell. SOLUTION: A reinforced concrete containment vessel 18 of a reactor 10 includes a cylindrical shell having a side wall 20. The side wall includes the opening part 58 and a plurality of reinforcement bars 64 at least one of which is interrupted by the opening part of the side wall. A reinforcement plate 70 having an opening part 72 is disposed in the cylindrical shell so that the opening part of the reinforcement plate is aligned with the opening part of the side wall and the interrupted reinforcement bar is connected to the reinforcement plate. A reinforcement bar terminal member 76 connects the reinforcement bars to the reinforcement plate.
