PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll type compressor having a scroll member in a step shape having a step part capable of achieving improved compressing efficiency by minimizing leakage of fluid from the step part, and to reduce leakage of fluid and achieve high compressing efficiency without increasing machining accuracy of the scroll member. SOLUTION: This scroll type compressor has a constitution in which the step part 42 is disposed from a base point P1 determined at a high pressure space communicating timing to a position P2 after 3π(rad) toward the outer peripheral end side in the spiral direction along the inner peripheral surface of a spiral wall body 12b.
