PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly and speedily test a control rod driving mechanism without requiring a human system when a plurality of control rods are selected. SOLUTION: A synchronous transmitter 9 is directly connected to a CRD motor 8 of the electric motor type control rod driving mechanism 5 connected to a field control device 3. A positional signal from the synchronous transmitter 9 and a lead switch signal indicating positions of control rods 6 are outputted from the field control device 3 to the electric motor type control rod driving mechanism 5. A selected control rod coordinate signal and a control rod driving mode are outputted from a central operation control device 2 to the field control device 3. These signals are all transmitted and received by a control rod operation monitoring system transmitting device 11 from the field control device 3 to the central operation control device 2. The transmitting device 11 inputs the positions of the control rods 6, selected control rod coordinates, and the driving mode of the control rods 6 into a testing device 1. Thus, a driving state of the control rod driving mechanism 5 can be recognized.
