PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely intercept light leaked from a light source without making the tilt angle of the light shielding fin of a light shielding plate large. SOLUTION: In this projector, a ventilating fan 130 is arranged between a power source 129 and an exhaust port 131 formed on the outer case of a projector body 1, and the light shielding plate 132 having a plurality of light shielding fins 133 is arranged between the power source 129 and the fan 130. In the projector, the plurality of fins 133 of the plate 132 are constituted to be symmetric with respect to the light leaked from the light source 129 in a right angle direction.
