PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing a beam. SOLUTION: Many beams 1 machined at desired lengths are manufactured from a plurality of raw materials 11, 12, 13 of multiple kinds sorted by length and fed in sequence in this method. The raw material 11 of one kind is cut- machined to become shorter from a long size to a short size in sequence, the raw material 12 of another kind fed in succession to the raw material 11 is cut-machined to become longer from a short size to a long size in sequence so that the difference D in length between the adjacent raw materials 11 and 12 is not increased, then the raw materials 11 and 12 are welded in sequence.
