PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lug thickness measuring tool for a handrail guide for a passenger conveyer capable of measuring the thickness of the lug of the handrail guide without detaching a handrail from the handrail guide. SOLUTION: This lug thickness measuring tool 10 is provided with a first gauge head 13 for abutting the tip thereof 13A on the lower surface of a T-shaped part of a support member, and a second gauge head 14 for abutting the tip thereof 14A on the lower surface of the lug of the handrail guide. The dimension between the tip 13A of the first gauge head 13 in an abutting state on the lower surface of the T-shaped part of the support member and the tip 14A of the second gauge head 14 in the state of being abutted on the lower surface of the lug of the handrail guide is measured to measure the thickness of the lug of the handrail guide.
