PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that rod-shaped paste is housed in an extrusion type container but almost all of containers are cylindrical and these containers rolls on a desk or the like to be easy to fall on a floor and, since a coating surface becomes circular, paste is wastefully applied when the ends of four corners of a square are coated with paste and the missing of coating is generated and, therefore, a square paste container is proposed but the manufacture and assembling thereof is troublesome and a concrete structure is not definite. SOLUTION: A square cylindrical rod-shaped paste container A is constituted so that a raised bottom 12 equipped with a cylindrical hole 13 is provided to a container main body 1 and portions 14 to be locked comprising arcuate recessed parts are provided to the central parts of the respective inner walls on the open end side of the raised bottom 12 of the container main body 1 and locking ports 33a rotated by 90 deg. to be fitterd in the portions 14 to be locked are provided to the place entering the raised bottom 12 of an operation knob 3 at opposed positions.
