摘要

PURPOSE: To improve display quality of a liquid crystal display device by preventing persistence of a screen caused by impurities eluted into a liquid crystal layer as well as preventing whitening or darkening of an image caused by hydrolysis of an oriented film with moisture of the liquid crystal layer. CONSTITUTION: Oriented films 23 and 27 having surface energy is 51-60 dyn/cm are formed on an array substrate 11 which comprises a pixel electrode 21 arranged in matrix on a color filter layer 20 and an opposed substrate 12 which comprises a common electrode 26, respectively. Liquid crystal composition 16 is sealed into gaps between the substrates 11 and 12 that are arranged to face the oriented films 23 and 27 each other.
