摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing the raw material for a sintered body by which a YAG sintered body having high density can be obtained without using aluminum oxide of anαphase as the raw material and undergoing a calcining stage, and a method for producing a YAG sintered body having high density using the raw material. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the raw material for a powdery yttrium-aluminum-garnet sintered body, yttrium oxide or the precursor thereof and an aluminum oxide precursor or aluminum oxide other than anαphase are blended so that the atomic ratio of yttrium and aluminum is controlled to 3/4.7 to 3/5.2, and dry blending treatment is performed till the BET specific surface area reduces to 6 to 60%. The method for producing a YAG sintered body having high density uses the raw material.
