PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device in which connection failures between a display panel and a flexible board are suppressed, whose assembling work is relatively easy, whose reliability is high and also which is of inexpensive, which has thin shape and which is light in weight. SOLUTION: This display device is provided with a display panel which is provided with a plurality of pixels which are constituted by being provided with a plurality of first electrodes which are arranged on one principal surface of an insulated substrate in a matrix shape, second electrodes which are disposed to face with the first electrodes, optical modulation layers held among these electrodes and driving circuits for driving the pixels which are formed integrally on the substrate and a flexible wiring board transmitting external signals to the display panel and, the flexible wiring board is arranged at the non-display surface side of the display panel and, also, at least one part other than connection terminals is fixed on the display panel.
