PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration due to polarization of a liquid crystal. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is equipped with a driving circuit for video signals in which positive gradation voltages and negative gradation voltages corresponding to the respective gradations are supplied by voltage dividing resistors connected in series and video signals are outputted to respective drain signal lines. The voltage from the power supply which generates the lowest voltage in the positive gradation voltages in made variable, while the highest voltage in the negative gradation voltages is determined by subtracting a preliminarily set voltage from the variable voltage.
