PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that can precisely measure a radial deflection of ball bearing. SOLUTION: In this method of measuring the radial deflection of a ball bearing 1 provided with an outer ring 2 having an outer ring raceway 2a, an inner ring 3 having an inner ring raceway 3a, and a plurality of balls 4 arranged rollably between the outer ring raceway 2a and the inner ring raceway 3a, the outer ring 2 is fixed to make the bearing center axis A vertical, the inner ring 3 is rotated under the condition where an axial load is applied, a radial- directional displacement of a bearing inside diameter face 7 is measured, and the radial deflection of the inner ring 3 is measured thereby in the vicinity of the position P4 where a line L binding a contact point P1 between the balls 4 and the outer ring raceway 2a, and a contact point P2 between the balls 4 and the inner ring raceway 3a is extended until crossing the center axis A, and where a radial plane R including an intersection P3 thereof crosses the bearing inside diameter face 7, when the radial deflection of the inner ring 3 is measured.
