PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a soundproof cover mounting method which hardly leaks sound from the gap between each soundproof cover and a noise source. SOLUTION: According to the soundproof cover mounting method, the soundproof cover 11 has a sound-absorbing layer 1 on the side with a noise source 10; and when the cover 11 is to be installed on the noise source 10, a sealing material 21 is arranged at least between the peripheral edge 12 of the sound absorbing layer 1 and the noise source 10, and the peripheral edge 12 of the sound-absorbing layer 1 is made to tightly attach to the noise source 10.
