PURPOSE:To obtain highly corrosion- and thermal shock-resistant highly durable brick by blending zircon with zirconia, magnesia and refractory grains. CONSTITUTION:A basic refractory is obtained by blending 1-20wt.% zircon having about >=80% ZrO2.SiO2 component with 2-20wt.% zirconia of about >=90% purity and the remainder of magnesia of >=95% purity and refractory grains (e.g. spinel), adding a binder, kneading the mixture, forming the kneaded mixture, drying the formed compact and burning the dried compact at >=1600 deg.C maximum temperature. |
