PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supercritical water oxidation reactor of a structure capable of preventing the material of a pressure container for keeping the pressure resistance of the reactor from being corroded by chloride ions, sulfate ions, etc., formed in supercritical water when an organic matter is treated in a supercritical water oxidation reactor. SOLUTION: A pressure container 3 is prevented from being attacked by corrosion by disposing a conductive material 9 electrically insulated from the container 3 in supercritical water held in the container 3 and applying a voltage between an anode being the material 9 and a cathode being the container 3. Especially, in the case of a supercritical water oxidation reactor having a structure of a double-pipe heat exchanger or a shell-and-tube heat exchanger, the pipe is used as the anode. Alternatively, a metal wire extended along the central axis of the tube is used as the anode, while the pipe together with the container is used as the cathode. Especially, in a reactor having a structural material, such as a baffle, for forming a flow path, the baffle is used as the anode. |
