PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pachinko island base provided with a ball lifting device capable of being operated again without troublesome work in the case that operation of the device is stopped by the overflow of pachinko balls inside the pachinko island base. SOLUTION: By stopping the supply of the pachinko balls to the ball lifting device 3 by a shutter device 19 on the basis of the detection signals of an overflow sensor 36 and stopping the ball lifting device 3 after the time to finish lifting the pachinko balls elapses, the ball lifting device 3 is stopped in the state where no the pachinko balls are present inside the ball lifting device 3. Thus, the ball lifting device 3 is operated again without the troublesome work of removing the pachinko balls inside the ball lifting device 3 conventionally performed so as to prevent the inoperability of the ball lifting device 3 by the pachinko balls remaining inside the ball lifting device 3.
