PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide an exhaust flow-back type vacuum cleaner which is convenient to use. SOLUTION: In this vacuum cleaner, a hose 3 and an extension pipe 7 have a sucked air passage 14 being the channel of sucked air and an exhaust passage 15 for recycling at least a part of exhaust air discharged from an electric blow 8 to the side of a suction tool. When the pipe 7 is connected to the hose 3, the passages 15 of the hose 3 and the pipe 7 are communicated, and when the pipe 7 is separated from the hose 3, the passage 15 of the hose 3 is nearly closed. When the pipe 7 is separated to the hose 3, the exhaust air is not blown out from the top end of the hose 3 and the exhaust air is never sucked from the air passage 14, thereby cleaning directly from the top end of the hose 3 is possible.
