PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily carriable and installable reading chair having a pullout table and a pullout light for performing reading and manual work, reducing the fatigue of eyes under always proper illumination even without a desk. SOLUTION: This reading chair comprises a chair composed of legs 1, a seat part 3, a seat back 6, and armrests 4, a pullout light 7 composed of a housing square cylinder part 7a installed in a rear leg 1b part of the chair, and a sliding column 7b taken in and out by vertically sliding in the housing square cylinder part 7a, and a pullout table 5 composed of a table plate 5a for journalling its left and to a front upper part of a left armrest 4 of the chair so as to be rotatable on a table support shaft 5b, and left and right receiving parts 5f and 5g for supporting the table plate 5a by horizontally sliding longitudinally in the left and right fronts of the armrests 4.
